Many holiday returns

Many holiday returns

In particular, the couple, from St Ives in Cambridgeshire, have enjoyed four trips to the Bond’s cliffside holiday village of Encosta Cabo Girao, on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

Terry says, “We were amongst the first to visit Cabo Girão just after it opened. It was one of the best holidays we’ve had. We came back the following year.

“And we’ve been back twice since.

“The staff are wonderful; we always receive a warm welcome. We use all the facilities: the pools, the tennis courts, the spa, sauna and the fitness room. The organised trips are all very good too. And the bar and restaurant are superb.”

“The restaurant here is a little more formal than Biniorella’s,” says Rosemary, referring to the Bond’s Majorcan country club home of La Reserva de Biniorella, adding: “The food onsite is so much better than the local restaurants’. And of course now we have the ‘Blue Marlin’ poolside restaurant too – if we prefer something a little more casual.”

Terry continues, “We’re here for ten days this time. Then, in a couple of weeks, our son is coming over.

“This is another great advantage the Bond offers us: we’re able to holiday with our two sons and our daughter. It’s wonderful for the grandchildren too – there’s plenty for them to do.

“Indeed, we often see up to three generations of Bondholders – children, parents and grandparents – staying on site.”

Of her other favourite Bond homes, Rosemary says, “We’ve been to Biniorella three times. Constant in The Dordogne too. (The cycling was wonderful there.) Oh, and Rocha Brava in the Algarve was great; our grandchildren in particular like it there.”

“But wherever we go we know we’ll always get good value and consistent quality. It’s an old cliché, but the Bond offers us real homes from home. And they’re ours. So we’re delighted that we took the plunge.

“We know what to expect, wherever we travel; we know there will be everything we need. We know we can rely on the site managers, and on the team at Newmarket too.

“Like us, all the Bondholders we meet believe the holidays they’ve had have justified their investment.

“Although the people that we meet on Bond holidays all come from different backgrounds, we enjoy a natural kinship, and are able to form quick friendships. Which is not surprising when you come to think of it.

“After all, we share a common ‘bond’.”
