The Globetrotting Bondholders

The Globetrotting Bondholders

Good friends John and Susan Twining and Rob and Tracy Cox have travelled the world. Aka ‘the Globetrotters’, they are also keen Bondholders.

John and Susan Twining became Bondholders in 2005.

“Inevitably as children came along we were going to have to re-think our holidays. Backpacking with three young boys didn’t quite work. Around this time some friends told us about HPB and, having been left some money by Susan’s grandmother, we thought what a wonderful way to remember her – investing it in holidays. A lasting legacy to granny and lots of fun for us!”

Holiday wherever and whenever you want

“There are so many things that attracted us to the Bond, not least the choice of locations, here and across Europe. All easy to get to and there’s even an in-house travel club to help with flights, etc. The properties are well designed and impeccably maintained, and the onsite facilities are spot on. But the real clincher is being able to go whenever we want – HPB is so flexible!”

“And if that’s not enough, you can also book short-notice holidays without using any of your Holiday Points.”

Ideal for families

“We have a really soft spot for Alfaix in southern Spain as we went there many times with the boys, watching them grow up – happy memories. It’s a beautiful site with plenty to do and lots of summer activities with other children. We also love Biniorella in Majorca, another lovely site with some great local restaurants and a lovely beach.”

… and for grown ups!

“Since retiring Susan and I enjoy holidays on our own or with friends, mostly Rob and Tracy. Getting older isn’t so bad! Alfaix remains a favourite, in fact Rob and I have enjoyed a ‘boys only’ week there watching the World Cup and drinking beer! We’ve also had a fabulous time in Puglia staying in one of the Bond’s amazing properties at Coreggia and spent a relaxing week at Physkos in Turkey. And Biniorella is another favourite. It’s a good life!”

Holidays that go on forever

“But the really amazing thing about HPB is it goes on forever. One day our three boys will become Bondholders and hopefully take their children to all these wonderful places, making memories. And then on to the next generation. Granny’s lasting legacy!"

Rob and Tracy Cox became Bondholders in 2024.

“Our best friends John and Susan have been Bondholders for as long as we’ve known them and have been urging us to invest for ages but it’s never been the right time” explains Rob. “But after 37 years working in the NHS I was able to take partial retirement and with some of my pension, I decided it was time to take the plunge. We’d been on a number of holidays with John and Susan so we were already sold on HPB.”

Joining the HPB family

“Our first real holiday was a glorious weekend at Henllys in Anglesey. We loved the scenery and setting, but more than that we loved finally being part of the HPB family! And talking of family, we can’t wait for our grown up son and daughter to come on holiday with us."
